4-2-3-1: Manchester United predicted XI to face West Ham, two changes for Ten Hag as the faces tough challenge tomorrow
Manchester United will face West Ham on Saturday at lunchtime in a must-win game for Erik ten Hag, here’s our predicted XI.
Coming off the back of a 0-0 draw with Liverpool last weekend, Manchester United will be keen to get back to winning ways given they’re currently on a three-game winless streak.
Erik ten Hag‘s side have struggled in recent weeks – failing to capitalise on an impressive display against Chelsea.
However, this Saturday won’t be an easy outing with West Ham capable of performing excellently on their day – as their displays in Europe have suggested – but are also inconsistent with Liverpool battering them midweek.
So in this game, we expect zero chances will be taken by Ten Hag – at least in regards to team selection. Therefore, here is our predicted line-up to face The Hammers…
Manchester United predicted line-up v West Ham
With any strongest United line-up this season – Andre Onana will be included as he continues to impress in the league with the current joint most clean sheets in the league alongside Nick Pope and Jordan Pickford.
In a fixture which last season saw tonnes of misery for former United keeper David de Gea, Onana will be hoping to prove he’s an improvement with a strong display.
Continuing into the defence – Diogo Dalot was immense against Liverpool but will miss this one through suspension. In his place, Aaron Wan-Bissaka should start with Luke Shaw retaining his place at left-back.
In central defence – Harry Maguire, Lisandro Martinez and Victor Lindelof are all out as confirmed by Ten Hag which leaves little choice in selection. Jonny Evans and Raphael Varane therefore seem like shoo-ins.
In midfield – the return of Bruno Fernandes from suspension should see a familiar trio re-implemented. Fernandes will start in the 10 while Kobbie Mainoo and Scott McTominay start deeper as Sofyan Amrabat drops out.
The attack will remain unchanged given it continues to prove effective with finishing letting the side down. Antony on the right and Alejandro Garnacho on the left are the current strongest pairing along with Rasmus Hojlund up top.
