(4-3-3): William Saliba, Saka and Merino starts but Sterling and Rice both out as Arteta names excitingly dangerous lineup against Liverpool

Arsenal will be hoping to bounce back from their 2-0 defeat to Bournemouth when they face Liverpool on Sunday, but their mounting injury crisis may just impact their hopes of success.

It’s been a tough week for the north London side – who fell to defeat at the Vitality Stadium before relying on an own goal to better Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League just days later.

They’ve been without their captain and creative force Martin Odegaard since September’s international break and have been forced to endure recent fixtures without the likes of Bukayo Saka, Jurrien Timber and Riccardo Calafiori. William Saliba is also ruled out to face Liverpool after picking up a suspension against Bournemouth.

Here’s the team Mikel Arteta could pick for Sunday’s clash with Liverpool.

Arsenal predicted lineup vs Liverpool (4-3-3)

Arsenal Predicted XI: Raya; White, Kiwior, Gabriel, Zinchenko; Rice, Partey, Merino; Trossard, Havertz, Martinelli.

Arsenal Predicted Substitutes: Neto (GK), Setford (GK), Lewis-Skelly (DEF), Monlouis (DEF), Jorginho (MID), Nwaneri (MID), Butler-Oyedeji (MID), Sterling (FWD), Jesus (FWD),
