Manchester United star ‘set to leave’ after what happened in training recently

Manchester United star who was on the end of a X-rated rant from Erik ten Hag is reportedly set to leave the club.

During what was a largely successful first season in charge of United, Ten Hag managed to win the Carabao Cup and secure a place in next season’s Champions League.

In addition, the Dutchman also led his side to the FA Cup final but they were beaten by neighbours Manchester City.

As United prepare for the new season, transfers will now take centre stage.

According to Manchester World, youngster Zidane Iqbal, who was on the end of a fiery outburst from Ten Hag, could be moved on during the summer transfer window.

Although the 20-year-old is highly rated, he failed to play a single minute of first-team football during the 22/23 season.

Now, it has been claimed that Iqbal could be sent out on loan to gain more experience, whilst a permanent move away is also a possibility.

Earlier on in the season, Ten Hag was filmed yelling at Iqbal during a training session.

The United boss shouted: “Keep the ball on the floor… Zidane! Hey! Keep the ball! F***ing rubbish!”

Before Ten Hag took charge, Iqbal played for United in a Champions League tie against Swiss club Young Boys back in December 2021, when Ralf Rangnick was in charge of the Red Devils.

Back then, Iqbal was asked about his future, he said: “If an opportunity came up to go out on loan, I would weigh up the pros and cons.

“Right now it is too early to say. See what the future holds. It’s the best feeling [to be playing]. I have grown up loving this club. I have played here since I was eight or nine.”

Aside from Iqbal, the likes of David de Gea, Scott McTominay and Fred have all been linked with a transfer away from Old Trafford.

In terms of incomings, United have been linked with the likes of Harry Kane, Declan Rice, Jordan Pickford and Diogo Costa.

It is bound to be a busy summer transfer window for the Old Trafford club.
