Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal players are already personally messaging Chelsea forward Kai Havertz.
He claimed to CaughtOffside that the German has already received messages off a lot of the Gunners squad ahead of his imminent move across London.
It looks like it will be this week that Havertz’s move to the Emirates is confirmed, as Chelsea continue their vast summer clear out that was certainly required.
Before the window began, it was unlikely the Champions League final goalscorer would have been high on the list of players the club were expecting to receive good offers for.
Even though there was interest from Real Madrid, it looked as if that would peter out due to the massive difference in valuation the two clubs put on a deal.

However, Mikel Arteta soon came knocking and the Blues received an offer too good to refuse for a player who had flattered to deceive since his arrival in England.
With Mauricio Pochettino aware he has Christopher Nkunku to use in that position next season, he was perhaps more willing for the club to part ways with the Germany international if a good offer arrived.
Romano has now claimed that the players have been doing their best to influence Havertz, saying they have already been in contact.
He said: “A lot of Arsenal’s players have been messaging Havertz. Their off-field connection already looks really good. Havertz believes that playing for Arteta and Arsenal was the best project, and Arteta’s style, ideas and plans will only help make him a better player.”
It remains to be seen whether last season’s runners up can get the best out of the still young player, although many at Chelsea will not be upset with the fee they are set to receive for him.
