Arsenal outcast move to PL rival imminent
According to The Telegraph, out-of-favour Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno is on his way to Fulham, with an £8 million operation close to being finalised after lengthy negotiations between the two clubs.
Leno has been an Arsenal player since 2018 when he arrived from German side Bayer Leverkusen.
He had been the Gunners’ first-choice goalkeeper for most of his time before falling behind Aaron Ramsdale in dissection order last season.
The England star has had some top-notch performances to establish himself as No 1 at the Emirates, bringing in Leno in his replacement.
Unhappy with his situation, Leno has been looking for an exit this summer, and Arsenal arealso ready to sanction a purchase as he is in the final year of his contract.
They have brought in a replacement for the Germany international in the form of Matt Turner, who will take over as second-choice goalkeeper at the Emirates Stadium.
Leno has been linked with a move back to Germany but a stay in London seems highlylikely as he is now set to join newly promotedPremier League side Fulham.

The Cottagers are on the hunt for a new goalkeeper as they look for an upgrade to current picks at Paulo Gazzaniga and Marek Rodak.
They have been considering a move to Leno for some time and are in talkswith Arsenal over a possible transfer, while having reached a verbal agreement with the 30-year-old on personal terms.
However, the transfer stalled due to Arsenal’s request for a transfer fee of around £11m, therefore they rejected an offer from Fulham.
However, according to the latest reports, the Gunners have decided to cut theprice for the German player and are ready to make a bargain of just £8m.
A move is now said to be imminent with Leno set to finalize a move to Fulham. If he joins, the 30-year-old will become the Cottagers’ fourth summer signing,following in the footsteps of Joao Palhinha, Andreas Pereira and Manor Solomon, new arrivals on loan at Shakhtar Donetsk.
