Mark Goldbridge believes that Arsenal may need to replace Aaron Ramsdale if they’re to compete with the very best in the game.
Ramsdale was arguably the top shot-stopper in the Premier League last term as ARSENAL were pipped to the title by Manchester City after a stuttering end to the season.
But With Mikel Arteta’s side keen to challenge for the top prize again this term, the board have brought in some big named signings to help the Spaniard achieve his goals over the next few months.
Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber have both been brought in to add some more defensive quality to the squad – while Kai Havertz has been brought in to add a bit more of a spek in the final third.
But While Declan Rice is one big step in the right direction, Goldbridge believes that Arsenal must learn from Man United’s move for Andre Onana and replace Ramsdale this summer.
DO ARSENAL NEED TO REPLACE RAMSDALE?
Ramsdale was short of brilliant last season – he saved the club so many points and kept so many clean sheets that it would be a crazy decision to replace him this summer.
De Gea is right at the back end of his playing days at the top level and that is why Man United felt the need to replace the Spaniard – Ramsdale still has many more years left in the game.
We do not agree with Goldridge about ARSENAL replacing Ramsdale because he is one of the best in the Premier League and that will once again be proven over the next few years.
And we are sure that Arsenal fans will also agree that he does not need to be replaced.
