‘He is the only player that I like there, the rest are just overrated’: Kevin De Bruyne seriously impressed by 24-year-old Arsenal player
Manchester City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne has raved about Arsenal attacking midfielder Martin Odegaard.
Kevin De Bruyne, who is a key player at Manchester City, has said on Sky Sports that Martin Odegaard was “amazing” for Arsenal last season.
The Belgium international, though, believes that Manchester United attacking midfielder Bruno Fernandes is better than Arsenal playmaker Odegaard.
Kevin De Bruyne praise for Arsenal star Martin Odegaard
De Bruyne has noted that Odegaard is 24 and is younger than Fernandes, who is 28 now.
The City star said, as transcribed by TBR: “He’s been doing it a long time.
“I feel Odegaard was amazing last year, but obviously he’s younger so there’s a difference.”
In our view, Martin Odegaard is one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League and is a big player for Arsenal.
The 24-year-old did not always have the best of times at Real Madrid, but under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta, he is flourishing.
As De Bruyne notes, Odegaard was brilliant last season.
The Norway international attacking midfielder was one of the best players for Arsenal, as the North London club almost won the Premier League title last season.
Odegaard has made 89 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.
The playmaker has scored 24 goals and given 13 assists in those games.
The Arsenal no. 8 scored 15 goals and gave seven assists in 37 Premier League appearances last season.
If Arsenal are to win the Premier League title this season, then Odegaard will have to be on top of his game throughout the campaign.
