Manchester United

Thursday morning done deal: Man united COMPLETED the signing of £40m DEFENDER, documents signed overnight, Medical ongoing as player set to be unveil today before transfer window elapse

Manchester United lost out in race to sign Cody Gakpo to Liverpool and it seems they will lose out on luring Ryan Gravenberch to the Merseysiders as well.

According to talkSPORT, the Reds have agreed a deal with the Dutch international and now need to reach a deal with Bayern to complete his signing.

The renowned news source have mentioned that the Old Trafford club have been interested in the 21-year-old who rose to fame under the management of Erik ten Hag at Ajax.

Now that Gravenberch has agreed terms with the Anfield club, it is reported that Man Utd are set to go ahead with a move to sign Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.

The 20-time English champions have already failed with a loan offer to lure the Moroccan international as the Viola want a fee for a permanent transfer.

As per today’s version of The Telegraph, the Serie A side value their prized asset at around £30million but ‘with United operating within tight limits owing to UEFA’s financial sustainability rules, a permanent deal seems unlikely.’

The Premier League giants offered a loan fee of £900,000 for the first half of the campaign but Fiorentina turned it down.

Amrabat broke on to the European scene at Utrecht under Erik ten Hag, who knows all about the qualities of the Atlas Lions star.

Will the Dutch manager be able to get his man before the transfer window closes tomorrow? Only time will tell.
