He is the only missing link in Arsenal attack,if Arteta can get Him in January then they will definitely win the league’: Roy Keane left stunned by how £60m Arsenal target played today

Although he’s impressed a lot this season, Roy Keane was outstanded by a certain Arsenal transfer target today.

Keane was in the Sky Sports studio during the halftime coverage of Aston Villa against Tottenham Hotspur this afternoon.

And when reflecting on the first half, Keane was amazed by an assist provided by Douglas Luiz.

Arsenal have often been linked with the Brazilian, a player Mikel Arteta is thought to love.

And Roy Keane couldn’t help but wax lyrical about the Arsenal target when putting in a perfect delivery for Pau Torres’ goal.

Keane said: “What a delivery this is, they had a warning earlier with the missed header [from] Torres.

“What a delivery, absolutely amazing, Villa have been so poor but with set pieces you’ve always got a chance and it’s 1-1.

“Brilliant goal, great delivery, lovely header.”

And although Luiz was playing in the pivot for Villa as usual today, it’s his attacking contributions that are really now catching the eye.

As well as his set-piece deliveries, Luiz is timing his arrival around the box quite perfectly.

Mikel Arteta made an important change reverting Declan Rice to the number six against Brentford yesterday.

Leandro Trossard was afforded a chance in a deeper role, probably with a low block in mind.

And with Rice playing in the pivot, it was perhaps the perfect opportunity to envisage what Luiz could bring to Arsenal.

Whilst he doesn’t play such a role for Villa, Luiz does have the skillset to play in an advanced position.

There’s a feeling that the £60m Brazilian still has untapped potential, much like Rice when given attacking freedom.

And although the likes of Keane will continue to sing Luiz’s praises, Arteta won’t need reminding just how good the potential Arsenal target is.

Along with a striker, Luiz could represent one of the final pieces of the puzzle – a player it’s still surprising that Manchester City let go.

And speaking of a striker, Alan Shearer also spotted another Arsenal-linked player in top form yesterday.
