Deal close – Man United set to agree lucrative terms with OT player – deal at final stage
Manchester United are are close to agree fresh terms with teenage sensation, Kobbie Mainoo, who has shown massive progress.
According to a report exclusively covered by The Sun, the 18-year-old midfielder is set to get a bumper pay rise to stay at Old Trafford.
Mainoo made his first start in the Premier League against Everton last month and put in a fantastic performance to help Man Utd earn all three points.
The youngster also featured for 80 minutes in the 1-0 defeat against Newcastle United and was one of Ten Hag’s better players on Saturday night.
In the summer transfer window, the Dutch manager splashed the cash to reinforce things in the center of the park.
The Red Devils paid an initial fee of £55million to sign Mason Mount from Chelsea and also completed a loan move for Moroccan international, Sofyan Amrabat, from Italian club, Fiorentina.
However, unfortunately, both midfield signings have so far failed to shine and United have suffered big time. In such a scenario, the performances of Mainoo indicate that the future could be bright.
Man Utd must soon agree a lucrative new deal with the English starlet to ward off interest from clubs. His current contract at Old Trafford will expire in 2027.
