I will use Arsenal as scapegoat for the sin Man united committed at Anfield’: Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp warns Arteta about the deadly Trio he is about to Unleash to destroy Arsenal

Jurgen Klopp has hailed three Liverpool stars ahead of Saturday’s huge clash against ‘probably the strongest team in the Premier League’ Arsenal.

The Reds smashed West Ham 5-1 to reach the Carabao Cup semi-finals on Wednesday with several players registering impressive performances.

Next up for Klopp’s men is their top-flight battle against title rivals Arsenal, with second-placed Liverpool able to leapfrog the league leaders if they secure victory.

Liverpool and Arsenal appear to be two of the biggest Premier League title favourites this term and Klopp is expecting a tough game against the Gunners.

‘We feel good after that game [against West Ham] of course but we know we are going to play probably the strongest team in the Premier League, Arsenal,’ Klopp told the BBC.

‘They are really physically strong. They didn’t get worse with Declan [Rice] in the team, let me say it like that!

‘Really strong and it will be a difficult and different game and we have to make sure it is difficult for Arsenal as well.

‘I am looking forward to it. Maybe Ryan [Gravenberch] will be back. Besides that, it is not a full squad that we have. But now going through these games, we are back on track.’

Klopp singled out three players for praise after Liverpool’s Carabao Cup quarter-final triumph as he added: ‘Harvey Elliott and Jarrell Quansah and Joe Gomez – players that don’t get the focus all the time – they did well.’

Klopp, though, wants to see more from Curtis Jones after he scored twice in the win over West Ham.

I’m really happy for him because the skill-set he has immense but sometimes he forgets to speed the game up,’ Klopp told Sky Sports.

‘Especially the second goal, it is exactly what Curtis can do. He has this speed, this tempo, and he doesn’t use it often enough.

‘It’s what we tell him quite frequently but tonight he did it. Hopefully that’s an eye-opener for him and a possibility for me as well.’
