Senior figures at Arsenal are planning to work on multiple commercial deals during their trip to Dubai this month, sources have told Football Insider.

The Gunners announced on Tuesday (9 January) that they have flown to Dubai for a hot-weather training camp.

The North London club will remain in Dubai for a week with their return flight booked for 16 January.

Arsenal’s announcement also states that the trip will include several activations with commercial partners including Emirates, Adidas, Sobha Realty and TCL.

The Gunners recently renewed their agreement with Emirates with the Dubai-based company now paying over £60million per season until 2028.

Well-placed sources have told Football Insider that Arsenal’s commercial team will use the Dubai trip as an opportunity to expand their commercial scope by working on multiple deals.

Football Insider revealed in December that Stan Kroenke has spearheaded a directive at Arsenal alongside his son Josh, Vice-Chair Tim Lewis and Chief Commercial Officer Juliet Slot to improve the club’s commercial output.

Kroenke is eager to capitalise on Arsenal’s on-pitch improvement by strengthening their commercial revenue.

The Gunners have added seven new commercial partnerships to their portfolio within the last 12 months taking their total tally of official partners to 25.

Arsenal’s latest 2021/22 accounts revealed that the club earned £141.7million in commercial revenue.

The North London club are expected to announce their 2022/23 accounts in the coming weeks with all Premier League clubs required to submit their results by 31 December.
