Manchester United supporters have voted for the team’s man of the match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Manchester United’s one Premier League match for January ended in a 2-2 draw at home to Tottenham.
The game at Old Trafford saw Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford give Manchester United the lead twice, before Tottenham equalised both strikes.
United now have a break until the FA Cup fourth round tie on January 28, against either Newport County or Eastleigh, who contest a replay this week
Manchester United fans vote man of the match
Manchester United fans voted for the man of the match against Tottenham in a poll via the club app and website. The results are below…
Rasmus Hojlund: 42 per cent
Marcus Rashford: 16 per cent
Kobbie Mainoo: 10 per cent
Bruno Fernandes: 9 per cent
Diogo Dalot: 8 per cent
Alejandro Garnacho: 6 per cent
Aaron Wan-Bissaka: 5 per cent
All other players one per cent or fewer
Rasmus Hojlund deserved it
Rasmus Hojlund swept up almost half the vote, having made a big contribution to Manchester United’s point.
Hojlund scored one and provided an assist for the other goal, the second time he has contributed to two goals in a match at Manchester United this season, following his brace against Galatasaray.
Frustratingly, in both games, defensive lapses have meant Manchester United failed to win either match. At least in this one, United managed a point – but it is time to get more wins on the board.
