Arsenal need to find a way to start scoring goals again.
The Gunners have scored just five goals in their last five games, and they need to find a way to be more clinical.
There has been a lot of talk about Arsenal going and signing a new striker in the January transfer window, but speaking on Premier League Productions, Leroy Rosenior has another solution in mind.
Indeed, Rosenior says that if he were in charge he’d play Bukayo Saka up front, claiming that he’s more than good enough to play in that position.
Play Saka up front
Giggs shared his verdict on how Arsenal could solve their striker crisis.
“You know you talk about Jesus and Nketiah not being good enough, why not play Saka up front? Liverpool play Salah up front sometimes, play him through the middle sometimes.”
“I’d try it he’s that good, he’s played left-back, he’s played on the right, he’s played played left, I’d play him up front, see how he does because Jesus and Nketiah obviously aren’t good enough,” Ryan Giggs said.
Not what Arsenal need
We absolutely love Saka as a player, but we can’t imagine that he has the attributes needed to be a striker.
He’s not all that physical a player, and he isn’t one for getting in behind all that much either.
Indeed, Saka’s best work is out wide, beating a man, delivering a cross or one of his devilish whipped shots into the back post.
Saka is a fantastic player, and he probably could do a job up front if needed, but he should be used in his best position when possible, and that’s on the right wing.
After coming through as a left-back, the fact that Saka is even being spoken about as a potential striker option is remarkable.
