Friday morning deal- Manchester United have turned away from Benjamin SESKO as they feel he’s too expensive- Erik Ten Hag have found an upgrade and Man united are ready to sign “a special” £53M player instead
Man Utd can hijack AC Milan’s deal to hire the services of Dutch and Bologna center forward, Joshua Zirkzee, as per reports.
According to a story published by La Gazzetta Dello Sport today (news image provided below), the Italian club are stuck at the ‘last obstacle’.
The Rossoneri have already agreed personal terms that will make the striker earn a salary of around 4-5 million euros per year.
On the other hand, they are also willing to activate the release clause of 40 million euros, which is active for all the clubs for the next month and a half, to secure his signing.
However, Kia Joorabchian, Zirkzee’s agent who brought him to Italy from Bayern Munich, has asked for a commission fee of 15 million euros to complete the transfer.
The Serie A giants are now stuck, they are not willing to pay the above mentioned amount as the total deal would then cost around £46.4million (55 million euros), and it is not considered a ‘small sum’.
New Milan manager, Fonseca, is working very hard on solutions to lure Zirkzee swiftly as after twenty days, the major ‘risk’ is that Man Utd or Arsenal can seal the signing.
The international transfer window will open on 1st July and it would allow Man Utd and other suitors to pay the required amount £46.4million (the clause and the agent fees) to sign the 23-year-old.
For now, the player’s preference is to stay in Italy but things change in the transfer market and deals do collapse.
We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds and will keep you up to date.
