Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Jules Koundé from Barcelona.

The news comes from Spain, where Jijantes, relayed by El Desmarque, claim the Gunners want to sign the centre-back.

It’s said Arsenal got in touch with Barcelona to show their interest, and also to get to know what the Catalan side and the player feel about a potential negotiation.

For now, there’s no information on whether the talks have developed, or even if the Gunners are actually placing a bid for the signing anytime soon.
El Desmarque points out that recent reports from Sport claimed that Barcelona are willing to listen to offers for Koundé in this transfer window, although it’s not really known how much would be enough to take him from the Camp Nou this summer.

Barça have the defender well protected by a contract running until 2027, and he’s currently valued by Transfermarkt at €45m. Now since they need some sales to be able to make a decent investment in signings this summer, perhaps Arsenal can convince them with a good bid.
