Deal Finalized: Man United’s expensive signing joins Saudi Arabian club, set to receive the highest salary in football history

Jose Mourinho is a name bound to invoke mixed feelings among Manchester United fans considering his managerial reign at Old Trafford.

However, the Portuguese manager could tip the scales in his favor by signing a player the fans wouldn’t mind seeing the back of.

There is no better way to put this. Much like most of Man Utd signings from the last few seasons, Antony has not worked out. The Brazilian started well in his first season but his second season was a disaster.

Marred by off-field controversies and on-field inconsistencies, slowly yet surely, Antony lost his place in Erik ten Hag’s plans. Right now, he has fallen behind the likes of Amad Diallo and Alejandro Garnacho in the pecking order.

As per Fotomac, Jose Mourinho and Fenerbahce are keen on signing the 24-year-old on a loan transfer for this season. The transfer window is still open in Turkey for another week and there is a good chance that they make a solid attempt to sign the South American.

The report goes as far as confirming that a loan deal for the £200,000 a week could be finalized very soon. Mourinho does not fancy the current right-wing options he has in his squad and has been using Tadic until now.

The legendary Portuguese manager believes the former Ajax star would be the ideal winger for him. The 24-year-old looks unlikely to get much game time at Old Trafford this summer unless something changes drastically and might be considering this loan move.

It remains to be seen if Man Utd let Antony leave when they cannot sign a replacement. Having not replaced Jadon Sancho, the Red Devils might not have to let the Brazilian leave until January and let’s see how they handle the situation.
