Jurrien Timber has been good so far.
The versatile Arsenal defender, who has filled in at left-back amid Riccardo Calafiori’s injury problems this season, is now back on his perhaps more natural right side.
He’s showed plenty of attacking ambition, too, popping up in the Forest penalty area a few times and shrewdly winning a few free kicks when under pressure.

Arsenal, despite their changes, look really dangerous.
Another nice sweeping move on the right, Odegaard the conductor as ever, sees Saka pass to Jesus, flicked into the area for Timber, who pushes it sideways… and the effort is blocked again by Milenkovic.
Forest look unable to cope with Arsenal’s movement at the moment.

At one end, Bukayo Saka pushes it past poor Alex Moreno, who had sprinted towards him in an attempt to unsettle the winger but only ended up getting done like a kipper.
Saka sprinted forward, got to the byline, laid it back and Martin Odegaard struck it first time with his weaker right foot.
It wasn’t as clean a contact as he’d have like but looked to be going in before Nikola Milenkovic got his leg in the way.
At the other end, Jorginho is booked after bringing down a surging Anthony Elanga. Definite yellow.

A brief glimpse there of what Taiwo Awoniyi offers.
The Nigerian tries to hold it up with about four defenders at his back, falls over, and somehow gets back to his feet with the ball.
Strong chap.

Nottingham Forest have mostly been pinned back in their own half so far, but find a moment to press higher and with more urgency. Arsenal could have been caught cold, but were alert to the danger.
Calafiori played a neat one-two with Merino, before Trossard passed it crossfield to William Saliba, and Callum Hudson-Odoi thinks about sprinting up to press but decides against it and drops deeper.
Arsenal escape.

Bukayo Saka, eh?
What a glorious footballer. There were fears he wouldn’t start today, or wouldn’t be fully fit if he did.
Those fears have proved unfounded.
He is causing so many problems for Forest.
