United prodigy Chido Obi-Martin, the free-scoring youth striker who joined in the summer, has signed his first professional contract with the club after turning 17 today.
The teenage sensation is among the select few in the academy to be offered professional terms upon reaching this age – a testament to his potential.
United are constantly scouting for top emerging talent to add to their academy, and securing a deal for Obi-Martin, considered one of Europe’s most promising young talents, further underscores the club’s commitment to maintaining its leading position in youth football.
Born in Denmark, Obi-Martin joined Arsenal from Danish team KB in 2022 and had an impressive last season, notably netting 10 goals in a single match against Liverpool.
He has represented both Denmark and England at youth level, but chose to play for the former in the UEFA European Under-17 Championship qualification campaign earlier this year.
Obi-Martin also played for Denmark’s Under-18s during the last international break, scoring his first goal at that level.
