“He was top-notch”- Fans heaped praises on Arsenal star after a “Man of the match” performance against Leeds at Elland Road yesterday.
Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale put in a man-of-the-match display as the Gunners scraped a 1-0 win against Leeds yesterday afternoon.
Mikel Arteta’s side were far from their best at Elland Road, but they managed to secure the three points, with Ramsdale performing exceptionally well to keep a clean sheet.
Fans on Twitter paid tribute to the 24-year-old after the match, with many agreeing that he was by far Arsenal’s best player in what was a rather unconvincing victory.
Ramsdale saved superbly from Pascal Struijk in the first half, whilst he was also able to prevent Patrick Bamford from scoring when facing two separate one-on-one situations.
He was also on his toes to keep out Brenden Aaronson’s long-range effort.
On most days, the Gunners would have conceded at least one goal but Ramsdale was the difference-maker on Sunday.
He is certainly justifying the £24m paid to sign him last summer at the moment.
