Rashford deal completed, Mainoo transfer, Gyokeres incoming”, Dream Man United squad once the January transfer is completed – as Ruben Amorim set to sell six first team players

Manchester United will surely say goodbye to two centre backs this year and Ruben Amorim may already have a new signing in mind.

Manchester United have been quiet so far in January and we can’t really imagine that changing as things stand.

Ruben Amorim was expecting a quiet window with United unable to bring in new signings unless players leave.

United’s £100million summer net spend means there just isn’t much room for manoeuvre this month.

Amorim may be forced to wait until the summer to bolster his squad and bring in some of his own players.

United may look to get creative though with one potential loan deal now being rumoured.

Manchester United want Sporting star
Portuguese newspaper A Bola report that United want to sign Sporting defender Goncalo Inacio.

Inacio has been linked with United for a long time now but Amorim may chase a reunion with his former centre back.

Pinho represents the AS1 agency, who can name Amorim, Bruno Fernandes and United target Nuno Mendes on their books.

Pinho may have been discussing any number of his clients but A Bola believe that United are prepared to formulate a deal for Inacio.

The report claims that United may offer to take Inacio on loan with the option of a €40million (£33.5million) permanent deal in the summer.

Whether Sporting would be willing to lose one of their key players on loan remains to be seen but this would be a way for United to bring Inacio in right now and ultimately pay for his full-time signature down the line.

Jonny Evans has been linked with Rangers ahead of his contract expiring this summer, with Victor Lindelof also set to leave the club.

Another left-footed centre back as competition for Lisandro Martinez may then become the priority with Inacio fitting the bill to bolster the back line.

Goncalo Inacio the latest Sporting link to Manchester United
Links to Inacio are no great surprise with a number of Sporting stars linked with following Amorim to Old Trafford.

Ousmane Diomande has been linked with United too and offers another left-footed option.

Playmaker Francisco Trincao is wanted by United as well, though Amorim may be reluctant to raid Sporting in the middle of the season.

United signed a number of Erik ten Hag’s players from his Ajax days and that didn’t exactly go well, so there may be some caution on signing so many Sporting players for Amorim.
