OFFICIAL NOW: Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli finally back in training and set to start against PSV tomorrow after being out for a very long time due to Injury – Huge boost for Arteta to win the champions League
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka looks set to return from injury within a month after being out since December.
Saka suffered a hamstring injury during a game against Crystal Palace in December and has been a huge loss for the Gunners ever since.
Before his injury, the winger had scored five goals and 10 assists in the Premier League, acting as the Gunners’ focal point in attack.
In his absence Arsenal have all but let the Premier League title slip away from them, by dropping points in their last two games with a 0-0 draw against Nottingham Forest and a 1-0 defeat to West Ham United.
It looks possible that Saka will return for the first game after the international break, which comes against Fulham on April 1st. When asked about it Arteta said: “I think so, but again, let’s see how they evolve in the next few weeks to make the right steps as well.
“And then after that, they’ve been out for a long, long time, so we’re going to have to integrate them as well, probably gradually. So they’re evolving well, but they’re still a bit far.”
Expected return date: Tuesday 1 April vs Fulham (H)
