BREAKING NEWS: The only thing that I don’t like about Arteta is that He likes to give excuses a lot, they were close to winning their first ever champions league trophy but He bottled it”, Arne slot reveals the TWO things that Arteta must do to turn His season around next season

Arne Slot has written his name in Liverpool’s history books after bringing the Premier League title back to Merseyside at the first time of asking.

The Dutchman has defied the odds and has managed to make the Anfield outfit one of the most dominant teams in England on what feels like a shoestring budget.

Since the start of the campaign, Liverpool have been the team to beat, with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal hot on their heels

However, even though the Gunners put up a fairly decent fight throughout the campaign, in the end, it’s Liverpool who emerged victorious.

Arne Slot says excuses are ‘for teams that don’t win the Premier League’ in dig at Mikel Arteta
In recent weeks, after Liverpool secured the Premier League title, Arteta has spoken in his press conferences about the “red cards and injuries” that have hindered his side’s title chances this term.

Since then, however, Slot has hit back at these claims, saying in a new interview with BBC Sport that excuses are for “teams that don’t win the league.

The Liverpool manager added: “All these excuses you could give to Liverpool… with us maybe not spending… or not bringing new players in, or taking over from someone.

“All these things are excuses for teams that don’t win the league, and it’s nice that if you have all these excuses, that you don’t have to use them, but you still just won it.”

Liverpool set to compete against Arsenal again for Premier League title next season
This season, it’s been obvious that Liverpool are the best team in the league with massive victories over many teams, such as Tottenham.

However, if they want to cement their place in Premier League history, they’ll need to come back with the same sort of passion next term.

While Liverpool’s main focus may well be the Champions League after they bowed out in the round of 16 this time around, a lot of effort should also be put towards retaining the title.

Both Manchester City and Arsenal will no doubt be back for vengeance, and with the amount of transfer rumours that have already started surfacing, it seems that almost every team in the top flight is going to be stronger next term.
