Thus, a new goalkeeper could get into the team at Old Trafford this season. As per Bolavip, it could be Aston Villa shot-stopper Emiliano Martinez, with the Argentine goalie a potential candidate for the Red Devils this summer.
Emi Martinez seemed visibly emotional after his final game at Villa Park this season, hinting at a potential goodbye. The World Cup winner was sent off in the final game of the season which was incidentally against Amorim’s side.
The report mentions that the Birmingham club might let him leave for a fee inbetween £30m-£34m. That is a transfer fee that Man Utd should be able to work with and it is definitely worth spending that money to bring Dibu to the club.
Emi would be a huge upgrade over Andre Onana, both in terms of quality and stature. He would add a lot of personality to the team and could emerge to be the leader that the team seems to be desperately lacking at the moment.
It remains to be seen what Man Utd does and if they actually make a move to sign Emiliano Martinez.
