FINALLY DONE: Arsenal finally agree a huge transfer fee to seal double transfer signings as the superstars travels ahead of the medical scheduled to hold TOMORROW – Congratulations Arsenal fans

Arsenal have been handed a boost in signing one of their top targets this summer.

The Gunners have had a good start to the transfer window, but they are yet to bolster their attack.

A marquee striker is the main priority, but manager Mikel Arteta may want a versatile winger too.

A recent report revealed that Arteta is a big fan of Rodrygo and believes he can be a ‘superstar‘ operating from the left wing.

ABC in Spain now claim that it would be a surprise if Rodrygo remains at Real Madrid beyond the summer transfer deadline.

Vinicius Junior, Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham are expected to be guaranteed starters under manager Xabi Alonso.

The same can’t be said for Rodrygo on the right wing. He will have to compete with Arda Guler and Franco Mastantuono.

ABC cite that Rodrygo plans to sit down with his family and agent to decide the best solution for his career going forward.

Arsenal are waiting on the wings to capitalise if the winger decides to leave Los Blancos.

Arsenal have an opportunity to land Rodrygo
The Brazil international made 24 goal contributions for Madrid during the regular season. Out of those, he managed 12 goal involvements from as many games on the left wing.

In comparison, the former Santos graduate accumulated the same tally from 30 appearances from the right flank. It is pretty clear that he is more comfortable from the left.

Rodrygo is unlikely to get regular minutes from the role at Madrid due to Vinicius’ presence. At Arsenal, he could be assured starts ahead of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.

The 24-year-old is strong with the ball at his feet. He completed 90 percent of his passes with 1.6 dribbles and four duels won per league appearance last campaign.

Rodrygo missed just one big chance in La Liga. He would be an upgrade on Martinelli and Trossard, but a transfer would depend on him pushing for a new challenge.

In that case, Madrid would be open to selling him for £77 million, as per Ben Jacobs. Arsenal should be able to afford the transfer fee with a long-term payment plan.
