Arsenal have made some big moves in the summer transfer market so far, landing players who will improve the team.

Mikel Arteta will be delighted with the start that Andrea Berta has made, having lined up several deals for completion.

If the Gunners are to push for more signings, then it may be that some sales are required in the next few weeks.

Arsenal haven’t always been the best club at selling players in the market, but that could all change with the new sporting director.

There are a few players who clearly need to be moved on, so with that said, here’s a look at five players Arsenal need to sell now.

Fabio Vieira
Fabio Vieira’s future seems to lie away from Arsenal, after a bit of an underwhelming spell at the club so far.

The midfielder, who can also play out wide, had been viewed as a high-potential star who could offer quality for the future.

Vieira never quite settled in, though, and his loan move to FC Porto last season was an attempt to reignite his career.

While there were some impressive displays, the Portuguese ace was never able to hit the heights and instead looks set for a move.

Given the quality in strength and depth in midfield and up front now, it’s a switch that just makes sense.

Reiss Nelson
The future of Reiss Nelson is uncertain, with the winger facing an uphill battle to get his Arsenal career back on track.

The Hale End Academy graduate spent last season on loan at Fulham, but struggled with injuries throughout the spell.

With even more competition for places in the team in his position now, it may be time to move Nelson on for a new challenge.

Albert Sambi Lokonga
Arsenal have another returning loanee to find an exit for in Albert Sambi Lokonga.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Sevilla, also having an injury-interrupted campaign in La Liga.

Lokonga has been unable to really cement himself in the side at Arsenal, and given the total rework in the central ranks, it looks tough for him to make a comeback.

Oleksandr Zinchenko
Plenty of changes have occurred at Arsenal in the past few years, including the importance of Oleksandr Zinchenko.

The defender was a guaranteed starter in the backline for the Gunners upon his arrival, but he has recently been usurped by Myles Lewis-Skelly and Riccardo Calafiori.

While injuries have been an issue for Zinchenko, his dwindling contract also makes it tough to see where his future could lie.

Given the relative strength in the squad for his position, perhaps moving him on would be the best for all parties.
