Manchester United are closing in on the signing RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko.
Man United have already tabled a proposal worth €75 million plus €10m.
According to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, United have reached a total agreement on personal terms with Sesko.
The 22-year-old wants to join United and is expected to sign a long-term deal keeping him at Old Trafford until June 2030.
Talks are ongoing between the Red Devils and Leipzig to finalise the exact structure of the transfer fee.
Sesko fired 21 goals across all competitions last season.
United director of recruitment Christopher Vivell has been instrumental in orchestrating the move and pushing it forward behind the scenes.
Newcastle United also made two proposals to the German club but Sesko has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.
While many expect him to blossom into one of the world’s top strikers, he still has untapped potential and areas that need refinement.
United have been a graveyard for young talent in recent years and Sesko will need to work hard to break that trend.
Standing at 6ft 5in, Sesko would offer a commanding physical presence and aerial threat.
He is known for netting explosive goals but still needs to improve his sharpness inside the box.
With the Slovenian international poised to lead the line under head coach Ruben Amorim, the futures of Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee could hang in the balance.
Hojlund scored merely four league goals last term, while Zirkzee appears better suited to a number 10 role.
Sesko could be United’s third marquee signing of the summer after Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
