Transfer News- Journalist hints fans on what to expect from Arsenal in January transfer window.
ESPN journalist Joao Castelo-Branco has told Arsenal fans to expect some transfer activities in January from their club as he expects the splashing of cash.
The Gunners narrowly missed out on a Champions League spot last season but they have reinforced the team and in performance which has seen then top of the log so far.
The North London outfit injected some cash into the team, bringing Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Matt Turner, Marquinhos and Fabio Vieira.
However, the Journalist said the fans should expect more of it in January, in a bid to win the Premier League.
Writing on Twitter, Castelo-Branco has claimed that Arsenal hierarchy are willing to take advantage of their current momentum and are keen on strengthening the squad with quality options this winter.
The journalist further states that the north London club ‘will inject money’ to reinforce the squad this January in order to stay in the title race during the second half of this campaign.
Castelo-Branco said: “Arsenal winning big games is in for the title in earnest. I have information that the club wants to take advantage of the moment, will inject money to reinforce the squad well in January to be able to compete until the end.
“I think Arteta has a thin squad at his disposal and it would be extremely difficult for the Spanish boss to mount a sustained title charge during the second half of the season with his current team.”
“Arsenal will have to play twice every week for the next few months after the World Cup break and I believe the Gunners’ boss doesn’t have enough quality options, after the first eleven, to keep their momentum going in every competition.”
