DONE DEAL: £40million Goalkeeper to Man united is already a done deal as the superstar finally signed six-years contract with the The REDS – Congratulations Man United fans

Manchester United are still looking to bolster their squad despite making three marquee acquisitions this summer.

Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko have secured an Old Trafford switch, while exciting teenager Diego Leon has also been added to the first-team ranks.

Man United have been tipped to sign a new midfielder and a goalkeeper in the remaining three weeks of the transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma seems to be on the lookout for a new club, and United were linked with a swoop for him.

Journalist Simon Stone has now revealed on X that there has been a strong pushback from Old Trafford against the link with Donnarumma. A goalkeeper is not a priority for Man United.

Donnarumma is rated as one of the best goalkeepers in the world, courtesy of his trophy-laden career.

The 26-year-old boasts an impressive resume, having won one Champions League, four Ligue 1 titles, two Coupe de France and three Trophées des Champions during his four-year stay with PSG.

He recorded only five clean sheets in Ligue 1 last summer but stepped up on big occasions.

United lack a reliable goalkeeper in Amorim’s ranks. Andre Onana has lost the support of a large section of fans after making several high-profile errors over the last two seasons.

His deputy, Altay Bayindir, has made similar blunders between the sticks and does not look worthy of being United’s number one shot-stopper.

Donnarumma would have been a significant upgrade over Onana and Bayindir but United could be prioritising a transfer for a new midfielder.

Carlos Baleba of Brighton & Hove Albion seems to be at the top of their transfer wish list.

Having already spent over £200m on Cunha, Mbeumo, and Sesko, United may have to splash another £100m to sign Baleba.

Radek Vitek and Elyh Harrison are two promising United goalkeepers who are spending the 2025-26 campaign on loan.

The Red Devils may promote them next term if they are able to impress during their temporary spells away from Old Trafford.
