Manchester United is coming’ – Red Devils now leading race for €40m signing

Manchester United have restructured their attack this summer by signing Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško.

The Red Devils have shifted their focus on other areas, including the midfield, and showed keen interest in Carlos Baleba. They have walked away from this deal due to high cost and Brighton & Hove Albion’s refusal to let him leave.

Manchester United are looking at alternatives and Sevilla’s Lucien Agoumé is included in their list.

That’s according to Orgullo Biri, who report the 23-year-old midfielder can be a cheaper alternative to Baleba.

Agoumé has a €40m release clause in his contract that expires in 2028. His former club, Inter Milan, will receive 10% from his future sale.

‘Manchester United is coming’, according to the report, which warns them that there are other unnamed Premier League clubs also showing interest.

The Frenchman’s future remains uncertain, and it remains to be seen whether Ruben Amorim’s side will make advances to secure his services.

Vamos Mi Sevilla FC relays claims made elsewhere about Manchester United’s interest and shares their information on Sevilla’s take.

It’s claimed the Andalusian club are willing to sell, but Agoumé won’t leave for less than €30m, which is €10m less than his clause.
