Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur believe that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are ‘now firm favourites’ for Leeds United winger Raphinha, according to The Athletic.
The Athletic have reported that Arsenal will hold further talks with Raphinha’s representatives this week, as the Gunners are set to intensity their efforts to sign the Leeds winger.
Arsenal are ready to make a new and improved bid for the winger, described as “incredible” by former Leeds player Stephen Warnock on the Football Show on Sky Sports in May 2022.
The report has claimed that there is optimism at Arsenal that they will be able to sign Raphinha, who himself is claimed to be open to a move to the Gunners.
The Athletic have reported interest in the Brazil international winger from Chelsea and Tottenham, adding that ‘there is a sense around the situation, and among the other teams interested in Raphinha, that Arsenal are now firm favourites for his signature’.

The Athletic’s report suggests that Arsenal will beat Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea to the signature of Raphinha.
It seems that the Gunners are determined to sign the Brazilian, and if he is open to a move to the Emirates Stadium, then a transfer is likely to happen.
Now, of course, Leeds will want to get a good transfer fee, reported to be £60 million, and Arsenal will have to cough it up.
