Kana-Biyik’s loan spell at FC Lausanne hasn’t got into second gear yet, but the Swiss side will see a more confident version of the player return after the break.
That’s because Kana-Biyik hit a debut hat-trick for France U19s on his debut, in a 5-3 win against Switzerland U19s.
This could be just the launching pad the French wonderkid needs to get back into his groove after an injury-stricken spell so far.
After the game, Kana-Biyik went on Instagram and posted a story with his No. 9 shirt and three messages in French.

Kana-Biyik is a low-risk, high-reward Man Utd signing
Man Utd will hope that this international break starts a virtuous cycle for Kana-Biyik and that he can start imposing himself more at the club level.
In the meantime, this is exactly the kind of signing competent clubs make to supplement their first-team recruitment and set the club up for the long term.
Arriving on a free transfer on extremely palatable wages, there’s no risk attached to this signing, as United could sell him tomorrow and still manage to earn a profit.
At the same time, the high upside and the young age mean that they can invest in his potential, and if he becomes a Man Utd first-team contributor, it would be a dream scenario.
This is the type of business that the club needs to do more of, and as Kana-Biyik starts to show more glimpses of his potential, the club will feel vindicated in doing so.
