‘Every time’: Hargreaves says one Arsenal player is ‘amazing to watch’ after win v Wolves
Owen Hargreaves has claimed that Brazilian international Gabriel Martinelli is ‘amazing to watch’ every time he is in action for Arsenal, as he told Premier League Productions (12/11/22 at 9:55 pm).
That’s why the 21-year-old is headed to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar with Brazil and he jets off to the Middle East after helping Arsenal beat Wolves 2-0 on Saturday evening.
Martinelli assisted Arsenal’s second goal yesterday, which was slotted home by his captain Martin Odegaard – he netted a brace during the game.
As some players head towards the sunbed and others fly out to Qatar, Mikel Arteta’s side will be top of the Premier League table for Christmas.
One player that is leaving an impression is the ever-progressing Martinelli and Hargreaves was full of praise for the World Cup star.
“Vieira came on and he had a good impact on the game,” said Hargreaves. “Martinelli, he is amazing to watch every time, so I think Mikel (Arteta) will be proud of that goal, it’s a proper Arsenal goal.
“I mean Martinelli is a fantastic player. I love the fact that he is always running at defenders. And he is creative.”
MARTINELLI ON THE BIG STAGE
Brazil are one of the favourites to lift the World Cup and one of the big reasons behind that is their attacking stars.
Led by the experienced want-to-be legend Neymar to the recently-propelled European Cup winner, Vinicius Jr.
And the sprinkle on top of that is the all-action trickster Raphinha and the fearless star Martinelli.
This could be the time Brazil add a sixth World Cup to their cabinet, and if Martinelli can play his part, then before he can become a senior, he will already be a footballing legend in the crazy footballing world of Brazil.
