‘We talked’: Martin Odegaard now shares what was said in the Arsenal dressing room at half-time last night

Martin Odegaard has now shared what was said in the Arsenal dressing room at half-time last night.

The Gunners finished off the first-half of the season with an impressive 2-0 win over Wolves last night.

Odegaard’s second-half brace handed Mikel Arteta’s men all three points but his side had to be patient after a difficult first-half.

Wolves were well organised during the opening 45 minutes and proved to be a tough side to break down.

Now, Odegaard has shared what the Arsenal squad spoke about in the dressing room at half-time last night.

Speaking to Arsenal’s official website, Odegaard says the Arsenal side spoke about remaining patient against a five-man Wolves defence.

“We talked about it before the game, and we talked about it at half-time – it’s difficult to play against these teams with five at the back and we had to stay patient,” he said.

”I think we did and in the end, we got the goals. It was a tough one, I think we had to dig deep today.

“The first half was a bit slow, we were struggling on the ball to create chances really. They defended well and we know they’re always dangerous on the counter, so it was a difficult game.

“Then we changed a few things. We sped up the game a little bit in the second half and we know we have quality, so we’re always going to create something, but we did good to get the win.”

The Gunners captain put his side ahead inside the first 10 minutes of the second-half after a brilliant move.

Odegaard was in the right place at the right time to convert Fabio Vieira’s ball across the six-yard box.

The 23-year-old produced a smart finish in the 75th minute for his second of the game after Jose Sa initially saved Gabriel Martinelli’s effort.

After Manchester City’s surprise defeat to Brentford yesterday, Arsenal moved five points clear at the top of the table after last night’s win.
