“Finally a done deal” – Journalist has confirmed Arsenal long term £40m target will seal move for Emirates next summer.
Arsenal target Youri Tielemans is reportedly ready to wait until next summer before deciding on his next destination, as per the transfer journalist Paul Brown.
The Leicester City man was thought to be the priority target for the Gunners to bolster their midfield department during last summer’s transfer window.
However, despite being linked with him throughout the summer, Arsenal never made an official bid to sign the Belgian and in the end, failed to purchase a new midfielder before the window slammed shut.
Meanwhile, after missing out on adding more firepower to their engine room in the last transfer market, it has widely been touted that midfield is one of the areas where the north London club want to strengthen this January.
A previous report stated that Tielemans is still on Mikel Arteta’s wishlist to bolster the middle of the park and the Spanish boss’ side are ready to make a January swoop for the Belgian.
Arsenal had hoped to sign him on a cut-price deal as his current contract with the Foxes will expire next summer.
The midfielder who is valued at around £40m by Transfermarket has made it clear he won’t sign an extension so Arsenal are ready to take advantage of the situation.
Tielemans to Arsenal
However, speaking to GiveMeSport, Paul Brown has claimed that Tielemans is prepared to wait until next summer when he will be a free agent before deciding on his next move.
The journalist further states that Arsenal are expected to face tough competition to sign the highly-rated midfielder as many Premier League and European clubs will be eyeing a move for the Leicester man on a free next summer.
