BREAKING NEWS: We’re in trouble If He joins Man United, they’re going to be unstoppable with Him, there’s no way I will allow this deal to happen”, Arne slot Says Man United will be unstoppable to defeat if this particular player joins them
Manchester United signed Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko to bolster their attacking ranks last summer.
Yet, the Red Devils are still looking to strengthen their attack. They were linked with Antoine Semenyo, who has since joined rivals Manchester City.
The Athletic now report that RB Leipzig forward Yan Diomande has attracted United’s interest.
Described as a ‘left winger with outstanding speed‘ by Leipzig managing director Marcel Schafer, Diomande has taken the Bundesliga by storm since his summer move from CD Leganes.
He averages 2.8 successful dribbles per game in the Bundesliga, the highest in the division. That figure also exceeds those of Amad Diallo and Matheus Cunha — United’s most successful dribblers in the Premier League.
The 19-year-old boasts impressive productivity in the final third, chipping in with seven goals and four assists in 18 appearances across all competitions this season.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano claims United have sent scouts to watch Diomande this season and predicts a ‘crazy battle’ for the Ivorian.
Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and a host of other European clubs are also considering a move for the Ivory Coast international, whose asking price is €100million or more.
Signing Diomande will represent a significant coup for United, given the need for a natural left winger. However, his valuation may force United to look elsewhere.
The Leipzig star also recently revealed his admiration for Liverpool, giving the Merseyside outfit a potential advantage over United and others in the race for his signature.
Diomande’s international teammate Bazoumana Toure could be a good alternative for United.
The Hoffenheim winger possesses blistering speed. He is an effective dribbler and is known for his tireless work rate. He has two goals and five assists in 17 games this season.
