The Concordia native is a profile appreciated by several elite clubs. In recent weeks, Man Utd were mentioned as one of Senesi’s suitors.
In his most recent appearance on Fabrizio Romano’s Italian YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto revealed that the Red Devils are one of the main protagonists in the race for the departing Bournemouth star.
While Senesi had been heavily linked with a move to Serie A, with Juventus particularly keen on his services, Moretto is ‘99.99%’ certain that the defender won’t play his football in the Italian top flight next season.

Instead, the Italian journalist believes the Argentine centre-half will most likely extend his stay in England, as his three top suitors are all in the Premier League.
Moretto identifies Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea as the top favourites in the race for Senesi’s signature, while Man Utd are right behind the London duo.
Do Man United need Senesi next season
MUFC have recently secured the services of Harry Maguire for another season. The experienced Englishman signed a new one-year contract with an option for another.
Therefore, if INEOS avoids selling any of their current options, they will have five centre-backs in the first team next season in the form of Leny Yoro, Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt, and Ayden Heaven, in addition to the aforementioned Maguire.
With five players vying for two starting roles, signing a new centre-back shouldn’t be a top priority for Jason Wilcox and Co. in the summer. However, it should be remembered that De Ligt and Martinez have missed large parts of the season due to injuries, while Yoro and Heaven are still sharpening their tools.
Hence, the arrival of a new defender shouldn’t be completely ruled out, and if Senesi is deemed good enough for Man Utd, then the club directors should, by all means, pursue his services while he’s available as a free agent.
It should be noted that the Argentine has not only been a key player for Bournemouth, but he also plays a vital role in the buildup, and has been hailed for his phenomenal distribution, as evidenced by his four assists this season.
