Manchester United and Everton are among Premier League clubs interested in landing Bologna winger Jonathan Rowe, according to Corriere di Bologna (page 6).
The Red Devils have primarily focused on their midfield this summer. They have added Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans to the squad alongside goalkeeper Karl Darlow and winger Tynan Thompson.
United have plans to bolster their attack further. A back-up left winger and striker are among priorities, and Corriere di Bologna claim that Rowe could be targeted.
Everton and ‘above all’ United have emerged as contenders for the 23-year-old, who bagged eight goals and five assists for Bologna during his debut campaign (2025/26).
Rowe, who is primarily a left-sided winger, is valued at £34 million by the Serie A outfit.
United should stay away from Rowe due to disciplinary issues
The former England youth international left Norwich City for Marseille in the summer of 2024 on loan with an obligation to buy.
He was immediately sold in the following summer due to a dressing room brawl with Adrien Rabiot, who was likewise offloaded.
His disciplinary concerns have continued at Bologna.
During a recent 4-0 friendly loss to Arminia Bielefeld, Rowe was involved in a tussle with an opposition player and almost head-butted him.
United have made good progress under new manager Michael Carrick, and don’t need a disruptive figure such as Rowe in their dressing room.
The Englishman made good progress in the back end of last season at Bologna, but United should steer clear of the former Canaries attacker.
United already have two sublime options in Matheus Cunha and Marcus Rashford on the left wing, while Patrick Dorgu has impressed there too.
Barring Rashford’s summer exit, the club may not spend on a left winger.
