‘No chance’: Campbell says Arsenal will simply not sell £23m star player this summer
Kevin Campbell has said on the Highbury Squad Youtube channel that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal will not sell Gabriel to Juventus in the summer transfer window.
The former Arsenal striker has said that there is “no chance” that the Gunners will sell the 24-year-old Brazilian central defender this summer.
Gabriel has been linked with a move to Juventus.
Tuttosport reported in May that Juventus are interested in signing Gabriel from Juventus in the summer transfer window.
Speculation this week suggested that Juventus remain keen on the defender, who cost Arsenal £23 million (BBC Sport) in transfer fees when they signed him from Lille in September 2020.
Campbell said on the Highbury Squad Youtube channel when suggested that Arsenal could eventually sell Gabriel to Juventus this summer: “No chance. I am just telling you, no chance.”
ARSENAL SIMPLY CANNOT SELL GABRIEL
In our opinion, Arsenal simply cannot sell Gabriel to Juventus – or to any other club for that matter – in the summer transfer window.
They simply can’t.
Gabriel and Ben White formed a strong centre-back partnership at Arsenal last season, and that was a big reason why the Gunners almost finished in the Premier League top four.
That partnership will become even better and more important next season, and Arsenal need to preserve that, especially if they are to finish in the Premier League top four and also do well in the UEFA Europa League.
