BREAKING: Arsenal now leading race for ‘ridiculous’ £97.5m striker this summer; he’s their top target after Mudryk

Arsenal want to follow the potential move for Mykhaylo Mudryk by making a push to finally sign Dusan Vlahovic in the summer, with La Repubblica suggesting that Juventus value the striker at around £97.5 million.

The Gunners are continuing their bid to land Mudryk. Journalist Ben Jacobs suggested on Twitter earlier this week that very positive talks had been held about a move for the Shakhtar Donetsk star.

It certainly seems Mudryk is being eyed as the marquee, big-money buy for the Premier League leaders in this window. And it would appear that Arsenal have their next major target lined up also.

Arsenal on pole position for summer move for Dusan Vlahovic

According to a report from La Repubblica, Arsenal are back in the race to sign Vlahovic having followed the 22-year-old for some time.

It is claimed that Mikel Arteta’s men are leading the race for the Serbian. And, while a move in the January transfer window is unlikely, a summer bid could be on the cards.

However, they are going to have to be prepared to go big to land Vlahovic. La Repubblica reports that Juventus want £97.5 million (€110 million) for the former Fiorentina star.

Arsenal fans will be divided over the fresh links with Vlahovic. Ultimately, he has been linked with the Gunners so many times since becoming a star in Florence.

Arsenal are looking set to spend big money on Mudryk. And they have two excellent strikers in Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah. So it would be a huge statement if they then broke their club-record to bring Vlahovic to the Emirates too.

Vlahovic is a ‘ridiculous‘ talent who has been prolific in Italy. But it would be a real gamble to spend so much on him.

So it will be fascinating to see if Arsenal do indeed make a big move this summer.
