DONE DEAL!! Player spotted in London to sign a lucrative deal with Arsenal – all paperwork done – Unveiling soon

Orlando star has confirmed that Arsenal have contacted his club about a potential January transfer window move.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta seemed to be closing in on a move to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk before Chelsea dramatically hijacked the deal and brought the Ukraine international to Stamford Bridge.

And now the Arsenal chief is clearly looking at alternative options in order to bolster his ranks ahead of his side’s charge for the Premier League title.

Orlando City star Facundo Torres is one winger to have been linked with a move to The Emirates (Football.London).

And it seems as though the 10-capped Uruguay international could be heading to north London…

FACUNDO TORRES MAKES ARSENAL ADMISSION

The 22-year-old South American star spoke out his future, and admitted that his club have informed him that Arsenal have made contact to sign him, as quoted by The Evening Standard:

“Orlando City confirmed to me that there was contact with Arsenal, but then I left for the World Cup and I didn’t want to hear about a potential transfer at that point. So the conversation stayed there but now that I am back with the team, we will see where the conversation goes. I would love to play in Europe. It’s a dream I’ve had since I was a kid. At the moment I am focused on Orlando City. But La Liga or Premier League would be my targets, and that’s where the rumors are coming from … I would absolutely love that.”

Orlando City’s website state that Torres has a $20 million (£16.3 million) release clause inserted into his current contract.

That seems like decent value to me, considering his undoubted talent and potential. Torres has bagged 29 goals and 25 assists in 111 career appearances thus far.

He can play anywhere along the front line, has blistering pace and possesses impressive technical ability. Football tactics and analysis website The Mastermindsite describe the Uruguayan as a player with ‘intense swagger’.
