‘NOT JORGINHO’: Andy Townsend blown away by ‘fabulous’ Arsenal player v Aston Villa
Andy Townsend has praised Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka on PremierLeague.com for his first-half goal against Unai Emery’s Aston Villa at Villa Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The former Chelsea and Villa star was impressed by how England international winger Saka found the back of the net for Arsenal against the Villans.
The 21-year-old found the back of the net in the 16th minute.
ANDY TOWNSEND ON ARSENAL’S BUKAYO SAKA V ASTON VILLA
Townsend said: “The goalkeeper never saw too much of that blistering left foot shot because the second that left Bukayo Saka’s boot that’s heading for one place only, and that’s the roof of the net.
“Fabulous strike and, just like midweek, Arsenal go behind but show their characteristics by responding very quickly.”
BIG PLAYER FOR THE GUNNERS
In our view, Bukayo Saka is one of the best and most important players for Arsenal.
Against Aston Villa today, the forward did get some rough treatment, but he rose to the physical challenge.
Now, the 21-year-old is not exactly in great form.
Yes, Saka scored against Manchester City in midweek, and he also found the back of the net against Villa.
However, the youngster’s overall play is not at the level that it was just a few weeks ago.
That, though, will change.
Arsenal fans should have faith.
Saka is only 21, and all young players go through periods when they are not at the top of their game.
