Arsenal place £34 million bid for re-sign Ex-Gunner

Italy’s outlet CMW claims that Arsenal have offered £ 34m to re-sign Ismaël Bennacer from AC Milan. 24-year-old Bennacer spent two years in Arsenal’s books between 2015 and 2017-from Arles on the French side.

Arsenal set to re-sign Bennacer

In 2017 he moved to Empoli, where he moved to Milan after two years of success in Empoli. After spending three years in Milan, 39 Algerians made 105 appearances, playing an important role in Milan’s Serie A victory last season.

However, Bennacer has only two years left from the five-year contract signed in Milan. Arsenal need a midfielder and are now bidding £ 34m to seduce Bennacer in northern London.

During his time in the capital, he played 24 times for Arsenal U23s side as a holding midfielder.

The Gunners brought Fabio Vieira from Porto, but he is expected to offer Martin Ødegaard a competition.

Arsenal have Mo Elneny, Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka left as holding-midfield options.

Ainsley Maitland Niles is likely to leave suddenly with Forest, and Lucas Torreira will leave.

There are doubts about Xhaka’s form and Partey’s injury susceptibility, Lokonga also haven’t been reliable.

They need a midfielder. Judging by Bennacer’s appearance in Milan, he is perfect. He’s a pitbull midfielder with a great engine that adds tackles, passcuts, blocks and defensive shields, and his range of passes is also impressive.

What  an impressive signing he would be for Mikel Arteta’s side if they manage to re-sign him from Ac Milan.

Other viable options for Arsenal is Lazio Midfielder, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Belgian midfielder Youri Tielemans with reports claiming Arteta prefer Tielemans.
