Easy win for the GUNNERS as Liverpool main man who always score/assist whenever he play Arsenal is now reported to have not been seen in RECENT training
Arsenal prepare for the biggest test of their season so far this weekend. They face a trip to Anfield to play an out-of-form Liverpool. Despite the Gunners being 29 points ahead in the table, there’s a hoodoo they need to overcome and that is winning at Anfield, something they’ve really struggled to do in recent history.
But if any Arsenal team can win at Anfield, it’s this Arsenal team. Not only is Jurgen Klopp really struggling for form, Mikel Arteta can’t stop winning games. It’s like everything the Spanish manager touches, turns into gold.
Arsenal have some injury concerns of their own, but they’ve been massively helped by Liverpool’s latest revelation. In training today, both Mohamed Salah AND Diogo Jota missed out. This leaves the Reds without two of their best attackers, both of which are more than capable of stepping up in big games like this.
Of course, there’s still time for the two players to return to fitness. However, it doesn’t look good for Liverpool. Particularly when you consider the fact that Salah was rested in the most recent match against Chelsea.
For Arsenal, this is great news. They’re obviously likely to be without William Saliba, as no positive update has been given on his return. Still, you’d fancy Rob Holding’s chances against a Liverpool attack without Salah more so than one with the Egyptian.
So, while Liverpool will be counting their pennies in attack, the Gunners will have a full-strength front three to deal with. Options include Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus, Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and Reiss Nelson. Not bad depth that, is it?
This match could go either way, but Arteta will be delighted with this injury news coming from the Liverpool camp. Winning this match would mean they’re one step closer to lifting that illusive Premier League trophy.
