‘No doubt’: Fabrizio Romano claims Arsenal have now struck deal to sign ‘incredible’ £30m player

Arsenal have struck a deal with Manchester City over Oleksandr Zinchenko, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Gunners have turned their attention to the Ukraine international after missing out on Lisandro Martinez.

And Arsenal have been working quickly to try and get a deal for Zinchenko over the line.

And according to Romano, there has been a breakthrough between clubs.

Arsenal and City have reportedly agreed a £30million deal for the 25-year-old.

Next up in the deal is personal terms and salary details, “then it will be completed”.

Arsenal have of course made one signing from City already this summer.

Gabriel Jesus will now be the Gunners’ main man at centre-forward.

And Zinchenko looks set to be another superb signing for the Gunners from the Etihad.

Not only is he superb at left-back, but he can also play in midfield, regularly starring in that position for Ukraine.

This is just what Arteta needs – cover for Kieran Tierney, and also added quality in the middle of the park.

Zinchenko also knows the Premier League inside out, so in that respect, he’s arguably got the edge over Martinez.

“So, so good”

City teammate Kyle Walker, in a recent interview with YouTuber Timbsy, rated Zinchenko among the most technically gifted players at the Etihad.

He said: “Not in any order, because I wouldn’t want to put them in any order, my top three are Zinchenko, [Riyad] Mahrez and [Bernardo] Silva.”

On the Ukrainian, Walker added: “He’s incredible, incredible. Two touches, head tennis, he’s incredible. So good, so, so good.

“And then you’re leaving the likes of De Bruyne out, Phil Foden, Cancelo. But they don’t come close to those three.”
