Arsenal want €30m for Star player – Looking towards a transfer but want paying well before He can depart

Marseille have joined the growing list of suitors for Arsenal youngster Folarin Balogun as the Gunners eye up a sale in the summer.

That’s according to L’Equipe, who say the French side will need to dig deep into their pockets if they are to secure his signature.

Balogun has been shining on loan at Reims in Ligue 1 this season, bagging 18 goals and three assists in 29 games in the league this season.

That has, obviously, not gone unnoticed and his continued excellent performances mean Arsenal will need to make a decision over the 21-year-old in the summer.

Balogun has made it clear that he wants to continue being a first-team regular but that is unlikely to be on offer at the Emirates given the strength of their squad and their continued desire to sign a striker.

Thus, Balogun has suitors lining up to try and get a deal over the line and L’Equipe say that Marseille are the latest.

They say that they have Balogun in their sights, despite spending a club record €32m to sign Vitinha from Sporting Braga in the January transfer window.

It seems they want to pair the duo and bring in Balogun from Arsenal, although if they are to do so they will need to dig deep into their pockets once again

According to the newspaper’s information, Arsenal hope to sell Balogun for at least €30m during the summer transfer window.

They know that Balogun, whose current contract runs until 2025, does not intend to extend his deal and, therefore, a departure is now becoming inevitable. If that is the case, though, they want to be paid well.

Whether Marseille are willing to pay such a figure remains to be seen but the fact Balogun is only behind Kylian Mbappe in the goalscoring charts has boosted his value considerably.
