‘Weak Team’ £51m Man City star Erling Haaland mocks Arsenal with 1-word caption on Instagram

As Manchester City demolished Arsenal with a 4-1 victory at the Etihad Stadium, Erling Haaland mocked his side’s title rivals on Instagram.

Throughout the build-up to the much-awaited affair, the £51.2 million (Eurosport) man has posted suggestive posts online hinting at saving his best for the Gunners.

After breaking Mohamed Salah’s Premier League goal record for a single season against Arsenal, Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland decided to take a dig at his side’s title foes on Instagram.

While the 22-year-old was uncharacteristically wasteful in terms of his finishing his all-round display was simply phenomenal, as he picked up two assists and a goal while bullying the Gunners’ defence.

As quoted by the Mirror, the Norwegian goalscorer said back in December, “Arsenal, we have to hunt them.”

After Manchester City dismantled Arsenal on Wednesday night, Erling Haaland took to Instagram to caption his post, saying, “Hunting.”

One simply cannot get a clearer indication that the phenomenon, branded as ‘astonishing’ by Rio Ferdinand (via Mirror) was taking the mick out of Mikel Arteta and Co. after starring in his side’s statement win.

Our View: If one shows up like Haaland, they have the right to do so

A key reason why Zlatan Ibrahimovic is one of the most adored footballers around is because he not just talks the talk but walks the walk as well.

The same can be said about Erling Haaland, as he shone for Manchester City against Arsenal after all his pre-match hints suggesting he would do so, before mocking the London-based side.

Perhaps several Gunners supporters may have been rubbed the wrong way, as it seems their title hopes are all but over.

However, Haaland has done the business throughout the campaign for City and after once again putting in a remarkable big-game display, it is only right that he has the license to speak his mind.

A showman, both on and off the pitch in the truest sense.
