‘Deal almost agreed’: £110,000-a-week player about to leave Arsenal in the summer – Not William Saliba or Bukayo Saka
Fabrizio Romano has reported on Twitter that Granit Xhaka is about to leave Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal for Bayer Leverkusen.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka is in talks with Bayer Leverkusen over a move to the German club in the summer transfer window.
Romano has said that the £110,000-a-week (SalarySport) Switzerland international midfielder will play his final game for the Gunners this weekend
The reporter has added that a deal has been almost agreed.
Romano wrote on Twitter: “Granit Xhaka, expected to play his final game as Arsenal player on Sunday then he will complete his permanent move to Bayer Leverkusen.
“Final details to be sorted next week but deal almost agreed as revealed two weeks ago.”
Granit Xhaka will leave Arsenal a hero
In our view, Granit Xhaka will leave Arsenal a hero among the Emirates Stadium faithful.
Yes, the Swiss star has had issues with the fans, but he has since established himself as one of the best and most important players for Arsenal.
After all, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has played Xhaka regularly this season.
The Arsenal no. 34 has made 35 starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League this season.
Xhaka has scored five goals and given seven assists in those games
However, Xhaka is 30 now, and all good things come to an end
It would make sense for the midfielder to move to Germany and play for Bayer
As for Arsenal, the North London club should now look to replace Xhaka with someone younger and better.
