A wave of sad and disheartening news has just hit the Arsenal camp only hours before the Nottingham Forest clash
Arsenal could be without six players on Saturday against Nottingham Forest, who could be missing just one name.
The Gunners come out of the international break in a decent position, having won two of their three opening games in the Premier League. Their most recent game however was a defeat to rivals Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield.
Arsenal players have performed well on international duty though. Mikel Merino scored a hat-trick for Spain, Martin Odegaard scored a hat-trick for Norway, Noni Madueke scored for England, and Viktor Gyokeres recorded two assists for Sweden.
They face a Nottingham Forest side who have a new manager in the form of ex-Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou after Nuno Espirito Santo was sacked following a falling out with owner Evangelos Maranakis.
Nottingham Forest injury news
Annoyingly for Arsenal, Forest have a very healthy squad for Postecoglou’s first game in charge, the likes of Chris Wood, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Morgan Gibbs-White and Elliot Anderson are all fit, which will certainly provide a test for the Gunners.
Their one injury is to central midfielder Nicolas Dominguez, who is dealing with a long-term meniscus injury in his left leg. He underwent surgery at the end of last season, and is expected to be side-lined until at least October.

Arsenal injury news
Unlike Forest, the Gunners do have some injury concerns. Firstly, Gabriel Jesus remains out as he continues to deal with his long-term ACL injury. He could be out until late November at the earliest according to reports.
Kai Havertz is also looking at an November return, as he is recovering from a knee injury that he suffered late in August in training.
Bukayo Saka has been ruled out of the Nottingham Forest game, as he continues to recover from the hamstring injury that he suffered against Leeds United. He may be back for Arsenal’s next Premier League game against Man City.
William Saliba will also miss the Forest game, as he has been ruled out for at least three weeks with an ankle injury that he suffered during the warm up of their last game against Liverpool.
In terms of players in doubt, Christian Norgaard could be available against Forest, as he is currently being assessed over a knock that he picked up before the Liverpool game.
Ben White is also a doubt, and likely expected to be available against Forest as he has a minor knock that he picked up in the opening game against Man United.
