Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya was lauded as one of the best in the world following a stellar performance in the thrilling 2-2 draw against Premier League champions Manchester City.

Despite City’s last-gasp equaliser that denied Mikel Arteta’s side a memorable victory, Arsenal secured a valuable point, especially impressive considering they played with ten men for most of the match.

The game kicked off with Erling Haaland scoring his 100th goal for Manchester City, giving the hosts an early lead. However, Arsenal responded with resilience, as Riccardo Calafiori struck a superb equaliser and Gabriel powered home a header to turn the game around before halftime.

A major turning point came just before the break when Leandro Trossard, already on a yellow card, was sent off for kicking the ball away and delaying the restart. Reduced to ten men, Arsenal spent the entire second half defending deep against relentless City pressure.

Raya was instrumental in keeping Manchester City at bay, pulling off a series of vital saves and commanding his penalty area with authority. His crucial interventions and calm presence helped Arsenal withstand City’s attacks until John Stones scrambled an equaliser in the 98th minute.
